Nurses play an important role in identifying patients for whom subcutaneous immunoglobulin therapy (SCIg) therapy is clinically relevant and to educate these patients on the benefits of SCIg therapy at home. Nurses therefore play a major role in increasing SCIg uptake.
This 1-hour interactive case-based module for nurses describes the various SCIg therapies available in Australia and demonstrates administration techniques involving push and pump methods, plus providing information on safe and effective handling of SCIg products, including storage and disposal.
This program is supported by an independent educational grant provided from CSL Behring.
