In 2021, Health Canada approved the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in children 5-11 years of age. As this population continues to get vaccinated, clinicians need to be prepared to effectively discuss the benefits and risks of vaccination against COVID-19 with parents who have children within this age group.
